Why extensions exist
Some jobs reveal hidden work once started (extra rooms, surprise plumbing, etc.). A change order is the pro asking "may I add X for $Y?" before doing the work.
How it works
- Pro taps Request change order in their app and enters scope + price
- You get a push + email with the line item
- You Approve or Decline from your booking screen
- If approved, the new amount is added to the existing auth-hold (or a new hold is created if it exceeds your card limit)
- If declined, the pro finishes the original scope
No silent surprises
A pro cannot charge for work outside the original quote without your explicit approval. If you see an unexpected charge, report it and we'll refund + investigate.
