What it is
A 2-minute hosted flow through Stripe Identity:
- Take a photo of your government ID (driver's license, passport)
- Take a selfie — Stripe matches your face to the ID photo
- Stripe runs anti-spoof + ID document checks
Why bother
Identity verification is required before paid marketplace work. When the check is complete, Mendly can show the ID Verified badge on your profile.
How to start
/pro/profile → top card "Identity Verification" → tap Verify Now. You'll be redirected to Stripe and back here when done.
The badge appears within 1-5 minutes of Stripe completing the check.
Privacy
We store only:
- The Stripe Identity session ID (not your ID image)
- "Verified at" timestamp + status
- Government ID images live in Stripe, not on our servers. Mendly never sees them.
